Jul 17, 2010 - @ryanWeap LOL destroyed. how convenient. so the records talking about the creation that remained magically dont mention it. the ones that did were destroyed. this is very typical of delusional people. INSPIRED INSPIRED. relax. hahaha. so funny.

ryanWeap Says:

Jul 16, 2010 - @angryaznman most records of that time was destoryed during some war and only records were in some old books old shaolin tales and temple paintings and the oldest dated intell was talking about buddist monks traveling to southern india to learn a martial art and a buddist monk from india that inspired them to practice kung fu but they known kung fu BUT HE INSPIRED THEM TO PRACTICE KUNG FU THEY ALREADY KNOWN KUNG FU BUT HE INSPIRED INSPIRED

angryaznman Says:

Jul 15, 2010 - @ryanWeap you are still not answering a simple logical question. why cant you explain why not ONE historical record gives them credit? not to mention the creation of the 5 animal styles of shaolin is already recorded. there is nothing left to claim. thats the funny part. you are filled with hope and fantasy, no pragmatic mind can believe you because of this glaring historical record problem.

ryanWeap Says:

Jul 13, 2010 - @angryaznman are you sure it is not you talking out of your ass nobody talks about my sifu like that he is a respected shaolin master so how would you know about kung fu who teaches you i know that the shaolin traveld to india to visit other buddist monks in india in india the known a martial art for sometime and shaolin didnot teach or study it as much so a buddist monk from india inspired them to still worship buddah and learn kung fu and all styles of kung fu came from shaolin

angryaznman Says:

Jul 13, 2010 - @ryanWeap your sifu is talking out of his ass. this stuff is not some sort of secret gossip ok. this is HISTORY. not even some random event, it is SIGNIFICANT HISTORY. and Chinese are unparalled in their record keeping. after the invention of paper, every dynasty has meticulous historical records on everything that went on in China. this is world known. so how come something of this importance isnt in a credible historical source? learn to think for yourself. learn to use logic.

ryanWeap Says:

Jul 11, 2010 - kalari i say is a good self defence because it is mostly defending from armed people

ryanWeap Says:

Jul 11, 2010 - @angryaznman i am not indian but i was told the all eastern martial arts originated by the indian my sifu told me the shaolin juiced it up to work for them kung fu but the only way to know for sure is to be there 2000 and somthing years ago

angryaznman Says:

Jul 8, 2010 - part 3 so not only did the FIRST 2 shaolin monks already know kung fu, not only was there chinese MA BEFORE kalari. but last but not least, the ONE source that give bodhi credit, is the PREFACE of the 1800s VERSION of the Yi Jin Jing (not in the YJJ itself). This preface is also full of errors. Martial Arts Historians Tang Hao, Xu Zhen and Matsuda Ryuchi have now discredited the preface and the bodidharma myth as well. END.

angryaznman Says:

Jul 8, 2010 - part 2. 18 luo han hands were by the 18 luo han monks. The 5 animal styles were from Li Sou, Hong Quan and Jueyuan. There is nothing left for bodhi to claim LMAO. Yes, I heard of the painting. One problem, first, it only shows various shaded monks all wearing Chinese clothes practicing. Second, it doesn’t say anything about bodhidharma. Third, it was done during Ming, a MELLEINIUM AFTER bodhi’s time. So way to go. end part 2...

angryaznman Says:

Jul 8, 2010 - seems too many indians believe this funny joke. i will burst all your bubbles. Kung Fu did NOT come from India. Boddhidharma only taught zen techniques like breathing first of all. second, the first shaolin monks were already masters in kung fu. end part 1

angryaznman Says:

Jul 8, 2010 - @Tareltonlives nope, wishful thinking

Frequent2001 Says:

May 27, 2010 - Anyone saw that Kickass Moves episodes where he goes and visit a kalari master and he says the guy is a charlatan , then the master almost breaks the show host's neck... that was pretty funny. They also made another documentory about that so called charlatan on Discovery, he claims his style is the original style and the true descendants of Shaolin kung fu.. if you ask me the style they show on the way of the warrior documentary looks more genuine.. but what do i know.

Jul 13, 2009 - According to the famed Karate Grandmaster Masutatsu Oyama in his book "Advanced Karate"on pg.13 "The oldest known records concerning combat techniques, hieroglyphic scrolls from Egyptian tombs, dating as far back as 4000 B.C." He also states that Bhodhidharma traveled to China and combined his combat and yogic breathing exercises with indigenous Chinese martial arts at a temple called Shaolin.

DanielBMS Says:

May 24, 2009 - Far Eastern martial arts entering the American mainstream has given us a level of respect for the Asians. That's a good thing. Tragically despite the Indians incredible accomplishments in martial arts most people don't have that much respect for the Indians in general.

MysticRonin101 Says:

May 24, 2009 - Actually I think it's best the Indian martial arts as well as any other real ancient marital art stays that way. Look at all that commercial karate/taekwondo/wushu crap being marketed out in the West these days...That's a shame.
